The Project
Plans to reconstruct Clarksville Little League Park are underway with work expected to begin in July 2007 and fields ready for play in 2009.

This 50 year old park will not only have seven new fields, it will also include a walking trail around the entire park, playground facilities, new concession and restroom facilities, a shelterhouse, new and improved parking areas and entrance road, along with extensive landscaping.

A special thanks to the Clarksville Town Council, the Clarksville Redevelopment Commission and the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Board for their support, commitment and pride to this much needed community project.

Friends of Little League
For well over a year now, a group of individuals have gathered regularly to provide input and structure for the Clarksville Little League project. This group, better known as the “FRIENDS OF LITTLE LEAGUE”.

The Friends have been active in the planning process and are assisting the project team during the development, design and financing of this important community project. They have been very instrumental in the establishment of the Clarksville Parks Foundation, which allows for tax deductible donations to be made for the benefit of the little league renovation project.

The Friends of Clarksville Little League are a group of individuals committed to improving our facilities to enable the continued development of our youth, while fostering a sense of community pride. If you would like to become a member of this group or would like more information, please call Mickey Higdon at 283-8443.

How Can I Help the Dream Become Reality?
The renovation of Clarksville Little League Complex and its continued upkeep is a major financial project. For this reason, the establishment of the Clarksville Parks Foundation has been established for personal and/or corporate contributions.

Your donation is tax deductible through the foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity. Donations may be made in honor or memory of a special loved one and even bequeathed to the foundation. Please help this dream become reality by supporting the little league project with a personal or corporate tax deductible donation. The reasons are simple: you are helping the youth of our community; you are building pride in our town; and, you can reap the reward of your generosity with a much deserved and worthwhile tax deduction.

Please send your tax deductible donation to the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, in care of the Clarksville Parks Foundation 4100 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150.

Walk of Champions Brick Program
The new little league facility will certainly bring a great deal of pride to our community as well as provide our youth with a quality venue to build their talents on the playing field. Many individuals, young and old, have benefited by the pure enjoyment of hometown baseball and softball over the years at Clarksville Little League Park. Now, your mark can be made on our new facility forever.

The “Walk of Champions” has been created and will allow a personalized brick to be laid in lasting memory for many years to come. Bricks are available now for a donation of $50, and can be purchased in honor, in memory, or in dedication to someone meaningful in your life.
Use this Little League Brick Campaign Order Form (pdf) to show your support.
